Galveston Bay Foundation Unveils Fresh New Look Reflecting a Bright Future for the Bay

HOUSTON, TX — November 19, 2025 — Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) is proud to unveil a refreshed brand identity, including a new logo, color palette, and typography that reflect the organization’s continued evolution and enduring commitment to protecting and preserving Galveston Bay.
For nearly four decades, Galveston Bay Foundation has worked to ensure a healthy and resilient Bay for generations to come. The updated look embodies that same mission, reimagined through a modern, nature-inspired design that honors the land, sea, and sky of the Bay ecosystem.
“Our new logo represents connection — between people and the Bay, between conservation and community, and between the past and the future,” said Bob Stokes, President of the Galveston Bay Foundation. “As our programs and partnerships have grown — and as we prepare to open the new Gessner Center — it was the right time to create a visual identity that captures who we are today and where we’re headed.”
The new logo and brand colors draw inspiration from the diverse environments the Foundation protects — from the coastal marshes and estuaries to the open waters and skies above Galveston Bay. The modernized typefaces and clean design will enhance readability and consistency across all materials, from educational resources to community events.
“Galveston Bay Foundation has always been about impact — on the water, in the community, and in education,” said Kimberly Meza, Marketing & Communications Manager. “This refreshed look represents land, sea, and sky and includes more of our entire organization’s program areas that are deeply rooted in the spirit of the Bay.”
The rebrand was developed in collaboration with Hierarchy Advertising, a Houston-based creative agency, through a process that included board members, staff, volunteers, and community input. Together, they sought to create a look that honors GBF’s history while positioning the organization for the next generation of environmental leadership.
The new branding will roll out across GBF’s digital and physical platforms in the coming weeks, including its website, signage, merchandise, and event materials.
