Join Galveston Bay Foundation as we work around the Bay to protect the vital natural resource we're all connected to.
Galveston Bay Foundation’s Rain Barrel Program works in partnership with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff, pollution, and bacteria entering Galveston Bay.
Join us on Saturday, May 4th from 9 am to 12 pm at Exploration Green (16205 Diana Ln, Houston, TX 77062). The workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips. Show up early or stick around after the event to enjoy walking through the beautiful botanic gardens and trails.

Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date. Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
