Emily is a passionate educator who helps K-12 students to understand the natural world. She has been a professional educator for 5 years, specializing in non-formal, outdoor education. She has been part of Galveston Bay Foundation’s education team since July of 2021. Emily has also worked as a Discovery Instructor for Camp Allen in Navasota, TX, a Restoration Technician for Tallgrass Restoration in Milton, WI, and as an Environmental intern onboard the S/V Denis Sullivan (which sails on Lake Michigan). Emily graduated from Monmouth College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Art in Biology (with a focus on ecology). When Emily isn’t at work, she spends her time crocheting, cross-stitching, kayaking, or hanging out with her two cats, dog, and turtle.
