Join Galveston Bay Foundation as we work around the Bay to protect the vital natural resource we're all connected to.
Join us on Sunday, December 8th, from 1:00-3:00pm at our Galveston Bay Foundation Headquarters (1725 HWY 146, Kemah, TX 77565) for a Rain Barrel Workshop!
This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff on site. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 1:00 and 3:00 pm and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation at 1:30pm, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date. Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
Galveston Bay Foundation’s Rain Barrel Program works in partnership with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff, pollution, and bacteria entering Galveston Bay.
