To ensure that we do not inadvertently add to the spread of the novel coronavirus, Galveston Bay Foundation has decided to postpone our Inaugural Houston Oyster Festival until Spring 2021. Our team is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our attendees and believes postponing this event would be the best course of action for our community. We have reached out to ticket holders for the event via email. Caring for the Bay is about caring for the community beyond its waters, and we truly appreciate your support. We will be back in touch with our new date, and will be looking forward to getting together over some fresh seafood soon!
Galveston Bay Foundation’s inaugural Oyster Festival is a day of food, fun and fundraising that marks its Oyster Shell Recycling Program‘s expansion into the Inner Loop of Houston.
Chefs at the Houston Oyster Festival will prepare oyster dishes and attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite restaurant. All proceeds will directly fund the Foundation’s Oyster Shell Recycling Program. Without the Oyster Shell Recycling Program, these valuable shells that create new oyster habitat will be lost to landfills
