Galveston Bay Foundation’s Rain Barrel Program works in partnership with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff, pollution, and bacteria entering Galveston Bay.
Join us on Wednesday, March 27th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Nature Discovery Center (7112 Newcastle Street, Bellaire, TX 77401). The workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips. Show up early or stick around after the event to enjoy walking through the beautiful botanic gardens and trails.
