Jeffrey joined the Galveston Bay Foundation in September 2023. Graduating from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL), Jeffrey earned a B.S. in Environmental Science, and he will earn his M.S. in Environmental Science in Spring 2025. While studying at UHCL, Jeffrey worked at Environmental Institute of Houston as a student technician, establishing over two acres of prairie restoration on campus. He also worked on the Living Shorelines research project, which assessed the efficacy of living shorelines for shoreline stability and habitat restoration, presenting research on using the sediment microbiome of living shorelines as a metric for assessing restoration success to the American Society of Microbiologist. Jeffrey enjoys gardening (especially with native plants!), cooking, baking, fishing, amateur mycology, tabletop boardgames, and walking his dog, Midnight. He is delighted to be restoring beautiful, productive habitats throughout the bay for generations to appreciate.
