The inaugural Houston Oyster & SeaFest sponsored by Coca-Cola is coming Saturday, June 4 from 11 AM – 4 PM at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park. Proceeds benefit the Galveston Bay Foundation’s Oyster Shell Recycling Program.
Enjoy a variety of menu items including cooked oyster bites and signature seafood dishes from several of Houston’s hottest restaurants, beer, wine and vodka bars, live music, educational exhibits and more.

About Galveston Bay Foundation’s Oyster Shell Recycling Program:
Started in 2011, the Oyster Shell Recycling Program has collected more than 1,300 tons of oyster shells for use in habitat restoration projects. The program set a single-year record in 2021 by recycling a total of 181 tons of shell! In addition, volunteers have helped recruit over 49,000 baby oysters onto recycled shell through Galveston Bay Foundation’s Volunteer Oyster Gardening Program.
