Join Galveston Bay Foundation as we work around the Bay to protect the vital natural resource we're all connected to.
Join Galveston Bay Foundation and Dow Texas City to learn about marine debris community science initiatives around Galveston Bay and take part in a beach cleanup. Registration at the link below is recommended but not required. We will meet at the “Texas City Dike Boat Ramp”, which is the last large parking lot and boat ramp on the left-hand side of the dike. All ages and abilities are welcome. This beach is wheelchair accessible with parking available on the sand and no elevation changes. There is currently no charge to access the dike during the week.
Please bring sun protection, a full reusable water bottle, and wear closed-toe shoes. We will provide all cleanup materials and water refill stations.
Cleanup event runs 5:00 – 7:30pm, beginning with a community science demonstration. If you are unable to arrive at 5, that’s ok! Please join us anytime during the event.
