Michael joined the Galveston Bay Foundation full-time in August 2016 after working part-time for our Oyster Recycling Program since January 2016. He earned a BS in Marine Environmental Law & Policy from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 2015. Michael’s first interaction with Galveston Bay Foundation was in 1996 when he was 12 years old and served as a Volunteer Water Quality Monitor. Born and raised in Galveston, Michael’s passion and commitment to Galveston Bay and the surrounding environment has driven him to his current position with GBF. In his free time, Michael enjoys the outdoors with his family—whether it be camping, hiking, or kayaking—and is also a hobbyist woodworker.
