Makayla joined the Galveston Bay Foundation in 2025 as a Dolphin Research Assistant for the Galveston Bay Dolphin Research Program. She graduated from Boston University in 2022 with a B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Policy, focusing on the intersection between research and policy development. In her free time, Makayla enjoys hiking, going to concerts, and reading at the beach.
