dolphin trunk Bottlenose Dolphin Activity Trunk

Do you want to easily add a unit about dolphins, their characteristics and ecology, as well as where we see them in Galveston Bay into your curriculum?

The Bottlenose Dolphin Activity Trunk is part of the Galveston Bay Dolphin Research and Conservation Program’s outreach and education initiatives. The trunk was created through a partnership with the Galveston Bay Foundation, the Environmental Institute of Houston, and the Houston Zoo Conservation Education Department. The trunk contains 13 TEKS-aligned lessons, activities, and background information all focusing on our local Galveston Bay dolphin population. Suitable for grades 5-12, the lessons are organized by complexity and can be modified/expanded for upper-level students.

All lessons and materials are supplied in this rolling trunk that you can check out from GBF.
