Matching Gifts

Double Your Impact!

Often companies will double — or even triple — their employees’ charitable contributions, increasing the impact of your gift. Some employers also match gifts made by retirees, spouses, and board members.

Corporate Partnerships

Make a difference with your company

Whether it’s by sponsoring a signature event or by coordinating a corporate volunteer workday, we have several opportunities for your company to get involved. Corporate partnerships with Galveston Bay Foundation are a great way to demonstrate your company’s commitment to the long-term health of the Bay and gain exposure through nationally-recognized, community-based conservation efforts.

For more information on corporate partnership opportunities, contact Nicole Scanlin at 281 332 3381 or email nscanlin@galvbay.org.

Adopt and Name a Dolphin

Support long-term dolphin research and conservation

When you virtually adopt or name a Galveston Bay dolphin, your contribution directly supports our Galveston Bay Dolphin Research Program. On top of making a meaningful and unique gift, our adoption kits are a great way to raise awareness of issues facing native wildlife in Galveston Bay.

If you are giving the naming/adoption as a gift, you will be able to indicate this when completing the donation form.

Each dolphin may be adopted by more than one person but is named only once. Your dolphin’s name will be permanently used by the research team and will be officially recorded on our website and in our database.

If you have previously adopted a dolphin that is not currently available for adoption but you would like to renew the adoption of your original dolphin, please contact us  cblair@galvbay.org.

The CAST

Galveston Bay Foundation’s Young Professionals Group!

In the Bay, a CAST is a group of juvenile crabs who make a significant contribution to the health and well-being of the Bay. Similarly, at Galveston Bay Foundation our CAST is a group of young professionals who raise awareness for the Bay and are leaders in conservation. CAST members participate in wildlife workdays, attend our important annual fundraising Gala, and enjoy many social and service events throughout the year.

Gifts of Real Estate

Galveston Bay Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of land or other property. Such gifts are carefully evaluated in terms of formal land protection or resale to be used to further our ability to ensure the preservation of Galveston Bay. Donating your land to the Galveston Bay Foundation may qualify you for income tax deductions. You also might avoid capital gains taxes, and in many cases, achieve significant estate tax savings.

If you are considering a gift of land to Galveston Bay Foundation we encourage you to talk to us to plan for the maximum benefit of your gift. We strive to honor the wishes of our donors and want to facilitate careful planning to achieve your goals.

Conservation Easements
A conservation easement is a voluntary agreement between a private landowner and a land trust that allows the landowner to permanently limit the future use of the land. While ownership and use of the land is maintained by the landowner, Galveston Bay Foundation holds the “development rights” and agrees to ensure that the land is maintained in perpetuity.

Land Donations
Property owners can donate land for long-term conservation purposes or to support our ongoing programs through a gift.

If you would like to give a gift of real estate, please contact Matt Singer at 281-332-3381 or email msinger@galvbay.org.
